Elopements are quickly growing in popularity, and its easy to see why. Elopements are FUN... choosing small, sometimes surprise ceremonies over the big shindig is also less stressful and most times less expensive! Most importantly... Smaller ceremonies leave you more emotionally available to soak in the moment. Often times I see couples rushing around to greet all of their guest and making sure the formalities of the day get checked off the list that they barely have time to sit down and eat. Eloping is in no way degrading the meaning or value of your nuptials. It is important to make sure you have your closest family and friends their to share in the joy. Those wedding day photos are going to represent you and the most important day of your life for a really long time... becoming heirloom pieces for your family... why not have the coolest backdrop ever?!? Think outside the box for your setting! Oh... and don't forget to have a photographer/videographer tag along. (REALLY IMPORTANT!!!) I know lots of photographers even offer special rates for elopements. Just ask!
So about this session.... I have always had a love for vintage cars... especially El Camino's mainly because my grandfather owned one years ago and I can still remember riding around town with him. When I started planning this styled elopement I knew exactly who I wanted to model. Erica is the definition of beauty and the chemistry her and Chris have for each other radiates throughout this whole session. We kept the shoot simple and just let the beauty unfold between them. Whoever thought of a car and an alter??? Crazy right?? Well I happen to think it's just perfect.
